Beach and Cavalli is a residential development in Long Bay, Auckland, comprising 38 apartments and townhouses over five stories with below-grade parking. The development is arranged around
a central courtyard.
The apartments along the street front are shaped around loggia spaces that provide deep covered balconies directly accessible from the living room and bedrooms. These loggia create elevations – to the street and to the court – that are deeply moulded.
The façade moves in and out and this sculpting of the form is reinforced by a restrained and logically arranged material palette of textured precast concrete contrasted with refined glazing and steel.
